As alluded to in the Manifesto, the study of martial arts may be initiated through just one reason, or through many reasons. Here we elaborate on some of the most common, for the purpose of clarifying the inclusion of many needs within a single understanding of purpose.
Perhaps you will find your own reason among these; or in finding the absence of it, be stimulated to explore it. The benefit of such an exploratory exercise is to confirm, to the extent possible, that the pursuit of your goals never strays to far wide of the mark. It is important to know whether the path you walk leads towards your goal; or, if not, whether your goal itself has changed without your conscious expression of it. This change is not necessarily problematic; we all change throughout our journeys
